John 14: 1-6
January 19th 2025, Third Holy Day of the Month
 Tadashi Nagae, Pastor

When Jesus told the disciples that they could not follow Him where He was
going, their hearts were disturbed and anxious. That was when Jesus said,
“Let not your hearts be troubled.” What should we do when our hearts are also
in turmoil?

The first is to believe in God. Disturbances will surely come, and we all have
times when we are temporarily disturbed. But there we have to trust God and
His promises. That is when we must let our faith toward the LORD work!

The second is to have a heavenly perspective. Jesus told us that many rooms
are prepared for us in the Kingdom of Heaven. The time will surely come when our life on earth will come to an end. It is important to always walk with a heavenly perspective.

The third is to remember that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Jesus is
the Way, and when we keep our eyes fixed on Him and follow Him, we can walk
in Truth and Life!

Disturbances are inevitable, but it is how we deal with them that counts. Let us remember this verse that Jesus said. And let us walk with faith in the Lord,
who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life!
