Zechariah 3:1-5
January 26th 2025, Fourth Holy Day of the Month
Rev. Tadashi Nagae, Pastor
We learn from the fourth vision that the LORD showed Zechariah. Let us remember two things:
The first is to be alert to the work of Satan. Here Satan was complaining to God about Joshua the high priest. Satan is described as an accuser in another passage. Satan comes to accuse us, and comes to complain about God. He makes us doubt God's love. We need to be self-controlled and spiritually awake.
The second is to remember what the LORD has done, and our position before Him. He dismissed Satan's complaint, removed Joshua's filthy garments, and clothed him with pure vestments. We were also sanctified and clothed with the robe of Christ's righteousness when we believed in Savior Jesus. We are still sinful, but we are justified before God.
Satan still comes to accuse us. Then, let us thank the LORD that we are justified, and keep away from sin. When we are troubled, let us boldly approach the throne of grace and walk relying on the LORD!
<The Word of the Bible>
And the angel said to those who were standing before him, “Remove the filthy garments from him.” And to him he said, “Behold, I have taken your iniquity away from you, and I will clothe you with pure vestments.”
