Romans 10:1
June 2nd 2024, First Holy Day of the month
Pastor Tadashi Nagae
The Jews were God’s chosen people, but they rejected the Savior. Paul continued to pray earnestly for the salvation of Jews, his people.
The first is not to be satisfied only with own salvation. Although it is greatest blessing to be saved by believing in Christ; to be forgiven sins, and to be allowed to enter the kingdom of heaven, but we tend to be satisfied only with our own salvation if we are not careful. However, we must not forget that the LORD desires all people to be saved and to come to know the truth. Let us remember that the reason why we were saved before is for the purpose that we convey the gospel to those who have not yet been saved.
The second is to dedicate ourselves to the souls. Paul hoped from the bottom of his heart that his people and gentiles would be saved, and he gave himslef entirely to the LORD. Although the calling of God is necessary to be a pastor or a missionary, we can be involved in the missionary work in our workplace, school, or community. it is the work of the Great Commission.
Let us remember that God has entrusted us with the wonderful gospel and the extremely important mission. Let us think about what we can do now to fulfill this mission, and let us do what is shown to us while praying.

Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved.
