Zechariah 1:7-17
December 1st 2024, First Holy Day of the Month
Rev. Tadashi Nagae, Pastor
One night, God showed Zechariah eight visions. We will learn about the first vision today.
First, the Lord always remembers us and intercedes for us. The man riding the red horse is thought to be Jesus before his incarnation. He was asked,
“When will you have mercy on Jerusalem and the cities of Judah?”
The Lord had never abandoned them, but had remembered them and interceded for them. He always remembers us even now and intercedes for us.
Second, the Lord loves us so much that he is jealous. This jealousy arises when the relationship, that should be faced, is destroyed. God loved them so passionately that he was jealous, even though they had turned away from Him and turned to idolatry. The Lord loves us as well in the same way.
Third, the Lord rebuilds. He said that He would rebuild the ruined Jerusalem, and make it overflowing with good things. Nothing is impossible for the Lord.
He can rebuild even our difficult situations!
No matter what the situation may be, let us remember these promises of
the Lord and walk by faith!
<The Word of the Bible>
Therefore, thus says the LORD, I have returned to Jerusalem with mercy;
my house shall be built in it, declares the LORD of hosts, and the measuring line shall be stretched out over Jerusalem.
Zechariah 1: 16 (English Standard Version)
