Philippians 4: 6-7
November 3rd 2024, First Holy Day of the Month
 Michio Harikae, Evangelist

Unexpected things happen in our lives. And when we cannot see the future, we are likely to become anxious. This morning, let us learn several things that we should remember so that we do not become anxious.

The first is to realize that being anxious is a sin. If we are anxious when God is with us, who tells us not to worry and not to be afraid, we must say that we are guilty of unbelief in God. Our anxieties do not make things better. Let us trust in God's Word and not in our own anxieties.

The second is to let our requests be made known to God. In everything, if we make it known to God with thanksgiving, then we can be freed from our anxieties and put them in the hands of Almighty God. Let us entrust to God all the requests and thoughts that we are holding in our own hands.

The third is to be guarded by God's peace. God guards our hearts with His peace, which cannot be given from the world. What a blessed promise! We do not have to be anxious about anything!

<The Word of the Bible>
do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
