Zechariah 6:1-15
March 23rd 2025, Fourth Holy Day of the Month
Rev. Tadashi Nagae, Pastor
Today we will learn together from the eighth vision that God showed Zechariah and the concluding part of the previous visions.
God showed Zechariah four chariots. A red horse, a black horse, a white horse, and a dappled horse each pulled their own chariot and patrolled (went out through) the earth. Then God finished His work.
The content of the eight visions is also described in a concluding manner.
The LORD commanded that a crown made of silver and gold be set on the head of Joshua, the high priest. The functions of king and priest were separated, and they were never performed by the same person. This meant that the Savior, who would come, would be both King and High Priest.
He then said, “Behold, the man”. That teaches us that we should look to this Savior and walk in Him. One is Jesus as the King. It is to see Jesus as the King who has all authority. The other is Jesus as the High Priest. We need to keep looking to Jesus, the High Priest who sympathizes with our weaknesses, intercedes for us, and guides us.
We tend to look at our circumstances and be afraid. Let us keep our eyes on the Lord and walk in Him in all circumstances.
<The Word of the Bible>
And say to him, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts, “Behold, the man whose name is the Branch: for he shall branch out from his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD.
