Zechariah 2:1-13
December 15th 2024, Third Holy Day of the Month
Rev. Tadashi Nagae, Pastor
We will learn from the third vision that God showed Zechariah. Let us learn about the message that was given from the LORD.
The first is that we should see the LORD's protection. Jerusalem was in ruins, but the LORD told Jerusalem that He would multiply the people and their livestock. He also said that He would become a wall of fire and protect the city like the apple of an eye. The LORD protects us as well.
The second is we should stand by the LORD's side. He told the people to flee Babylon and escape to Zion. There were many who stayed in Babylon to avoid suffering. We should not to be indecisive, but to make our position clear and stand on the LORD's side.
The third is that we should be silent (still) before the LORD. The LORD said that He would rise from His holy dwelling and live in our midst. It was necessary for us to be silent and wait before Him. We must also acknowledge that we are weak and be silent before the LORD.
Let us look to the LORD of hosts. Before Christmas, let us be such ones who are silent before the LORD, praying and receiving His Word!
<The Word of the Bible>
Be silent, all flesh, before the LORD, for he has roused himself from his holy dwelling.
