2 Peter 3: 14-15
September 22nd 2024, Fourth Holy Day of the Month
Pastor Tadashi Nagae

Peter teaches his beloved ones how to walk, while waiting for the Day of the Lord.

The first is to strive to be holy and blameless so that we will be able to come before the Lord. Salvation is a wonderful thing, but we should not be satisfied only with it. The precious blood of Jesus, who is unblemished and spotless, was shed so that we would be saved. Having been saved, it is important that we, who have been saved, imitate the Lord and strive to be holy and blameless so that we will be able to come before the Lord.

The second is to remember that the patience of the Lord is salvation;
-firstly, we should remember that the Lord is patient so that all people should be saved, and we too should be patient for the sake of other souls,
-Secondly, we should remember the patience of the Lord on the cross, and we too should walk patiently in the time of suffering.
-Thirdly, it is important to remember the patience taught by the Lord’s promises,
and to be patient in trials, and to walk with hope from the Lord.

If you have something being directed from the Lord, repent immediately.
Also, let us recognize patience correctly, and let our patience work to complete our walk in our lives!

And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother
