Psalm 92: 1-15
September 15th 2024, Third Holy Day of the Month
Pastor Tadashi Nagae
As we get older, both physical and mental strength become weaker. However, it is written that still in old age, there are several things we can do to walk in a way that will bear fruit. Let us learn the secret of this.
The first is to count the blessings of the LORD and thank Him. We are taught here that it is good to give thanks to Him. When we recall the blessings we have received from Him so far and thank Him for them, we can walk in joy and peace.
The second is to keep in mind that the LORD is true. It is to look back by night and confirm His faithfulness. When we recognize that the LORD and His Word are true, our faith will be strengthened and we will be able to walk in faith.
The third thing is to be planted in the house of the LORD and to grow. The house of the LORD is the church. It is important to be firmly connected to the church, to be nurtured in the church, to love the church, and to serve the church. Only then can we bear fruit. Without the church, we cannot grow spiritually and bear fruit.
Not only getting old, but also we tend to become weak in hardships. However, there are steps of life that grow and bear fruit in the LORD. Let us remember
and practice these three things, and walk in the way that bears fruit in the LORD!
