2 Peter 1:19-21
June 23rd, 2024, Fourth Holy Day of the month
Pastor Tadashi Nagae
In today's passage, it is described about the Word of the Bible.
Firstly, the Word of God makes us walk on a certain path. It is the Word of God, who is omnipotent, omniscient and true. Let us not rely on the uncertainties of this world, but on the certainty of God's Word and seek the LORD's guidance.
Secondly, the Word of God cuts through the darkness and shines brightly. Just as darkness cannot defeat light, when the light of the Word shines, it cuts through any darkness in our lives and shines brightly.
Thirdly, we must accept the Word as it is, because it is from God. Therefore, we must not interpret it in a selfish way. If we do, we will walk outside of God's will. Also, we must not doubt. It is important to interpret the Word of God correctly and accept it as it is. For this purpose, it is necessary to listen to and learn the Word of God at church services and Church Sunday School.
We have this blessed Word. But it is not enough for us to just have it. Remembering that the Word is the lamp that shines in the darkness and makes us walk in His will, let us always keep the Word in mind and follow it!
<The Word of the Bible>
And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts,
